For me personally it is, but for crunchy roll it is more of a popularity contest, so this has no chance as demon slayer, csm, aot, sxf and bleach all aired this last year.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is kinda "exotic" if you ask me. I don't think Kaguya-sama will become AOTY, but it has a pretty high chance of becoming the best comedy or romance of the year.

even tho I love this anime (scored it a 10), I personally won't be voting/choosing it as AOTY. there are just too many great anime that came out last year that are more deserving of the title.

It is a competitor for me, but I doubt it will be AOTY.

Consider all the shows in 2022: AOT, Chainsaw Man, Mushoku Tensei, Bleach, Demon Slayer. There were too many hard hitters this year, and there’s only what? Six contenders for AOTY; there will be conflict regarding who takes those spots.

Easily the AOTY but a lot of retards will vote for other anime so the chances are quite low. and personally it's my AOTY with Made in abyss almost taking the top spot

Isn't it common sense for it being one of the front runners for AOTY 2022?

I wouldn't be able to trust this community ever again if one among Kaguya Sama, SNK FS P2 or Cyberpunk Edgerunners doesn't get it

I wouldn't be really surprised tho if Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer or somehow even My Hero Academia also wins due to recency bias

If you thought it was regular Kaguya stuff ...then you weren't paying attention at all. It's not just the kiss at the end...but the whole build up to it the whole season. This season had more character. development for Kaguya and Miyuki than the first 2 seasons combined.
There were only a few segments this season where they were doing their usual stuff of tricking each other to confess.
But I would admit I was a bit disappointed when they skipped 2 chapters that I was really looking forward to this season (ch 92 and ch 112).

what? did you not see their mindset changing from "gotta make the other person confess" to "if the other person won't confess, so I guess I have to do it". Then they actively tried to ask each other on a date but failed, but eventually they did in ep 11.
And the final episode even gave us a proper reason as to why they won't confess to each other. Kaguya is afraid Shirogane is simply being nice to her because he is nice to everyone and is afraid of getting rejected, whereas Shirogane is afraid Kaguya doesn't see them as equals, and whether she no matter if she accepts or denies his confession if he confesses before they are equal then he will never be able to change the dynamic between them.

The mindset change was a slow process and while I agree with you on this ig this actually started at the end of S2.

Literally any SoL romance can be boiled down to this same argument. The pre-confession dilemma is not new neither unique and judging the whole thing based on this is not so smart. I do say the confession and the setup was epic but it's only the last 2 episodes.

No I don't think so. This show did not live up to the hype I heard at all. I respect anyone who did love this show, but I was bored. I skipped basically the whole second season.
